META Corporate Finance Ltd

Knowledge Pool

Sale of Maxim Training

Meta Corporate Finance is pleased to announce the sale of Maxim Training to KnowledgePool, the e‑Learning, IT and business skills training company.
Maxim was founded by Chris Brand and Terry Walker who were later joined by Mark Richardson. They developed a wide range of multimedia training products for management training. Their products are delivered by training professionals who are able to provide both generic product and to customise it to client requirements.

Peter Counsell of Meta said “the management team at Maxim had created an excellent base of quality product and sought our advice on maximising its value either by further rapid product development and geographical roll out or by realisation to a global player. KnowledgePool proved the most credible purchaser and best suited Maxim’s strategic objectives.”

Chris Brand, speaking on behalf of the shareholders, said: “We are happy that KnowledgePool will drive forward our objectives for Maxim far faster than we may have been able to alone. Meta’s strategic and corporate finance advice enabled us to present our case to KnowledgePool in the best possible light and for us, as shareholders, to realise the value we all knew was embedded in our product base.”
