Sale of Revive to iSoft

Meta Corporate Finance, today announces that Revive, the leading supplier of e‑booking systems to the National Health Service, has been sold to iSOFT.
Meta identified iSOFT as the strategic purchaser of Revive that would take full advantage of Revive’s unique position and maximise the value of the intellectual property embedded in Revive’s software.

Revive was founded by Michael Brett. He grew the business by providing a range of innovative software products to the NHS. However, by concentrating on e-booking, Michael developed Revive to an enviable position, and achieved over 80% of all e-booking deployments.

Michael said: “I worked with Meta over an extended period. Their hands on approach helped me formulate a strategy to maximise the value of my business and to identify the right partner to ensure its success.”

Mark Ledger-Beadell, who led the transaction for Meta, said: “It is necessary to work very closely with clients in the rapidly changing technology sector and to have a good grasp of the components of value. Revive’s value, like many software development businesses, is not just in its revenues but also in its intellectual property and niche market application.”

Michael Brett remains as Revive’s Managing Director and will work together with iSOFT to capitalise on its first mover advantage in e‑booking - an initiative that is a key part of the Government’s NHS IT modernisation strategy.
