Read MoreMeta Corporate Finance is pleased to extend its track record of completing transactions for its clients despite the economic conditions and difficult funding markets, with the announcement of the sale of Tech Optics Limited to Stuart Carter.
The Company, based in Tonbridge, Kent, has a turnover of £2.5m and designs, sources, provides added value and distributes technical fibre optical products. In addition Tech Optics has a production department and includes cable assembly.
The shareholders of Tech Optics, John and Sandra Tait, had approached Meta to handle the sale on their behalf, allowing them to concentrate on the running and continued development of the Company. Negotiations were held with a number of parties, and a deal was happily concluded with Stuart Carter.
Stuart, who has previously held senior positions with Thorn EMI, Multiserv, Brambles and Holophane Europe, had been working with First Flight (Placements) Ltd to seek management buy-in (MBI) opportunities. The transaction, terms of which have not been disclosed, was funded by Royal Bank of Scotland and by incoming management.
